French Christmas Dinner Ideas?

I am planning to make a big dinner for my family of Christmas Eve and I was hoping to make a french style Christmas feast. We visited France this past year and I thought it would be a nice touch for the holidays. I don’t want to cook a turkey or a ham as we are going to have that around that time so other ideas are great.

I have completed Culinary/Chef Training at college and I am an apprentice chef here in Canada so I am not really limited in anyway I just want to make something great for my parents this holiday season. Thanks.
I just wanted to get a French person’s opinion. Sure I could make something but I have no idea what the traditional meal is at that time of year.

    Do something fun like fondue. We went to Paris last year Christmas/New Years. That’s what we had.
