You don’t need a degree, but taking some classes in business, specifically business financing and a “start up” type class will be very beneficial.
A first step would be to learn to spell business.
no, not at all. You should though, have some kind of class, so how comfortable are you with the whole owning a business idea? While a degree is not needed, you can go to your local junior college and take a few of the basic classes. This, however, will take 3-4 nights a week for 2-4 months. Or you can find your local Small Business Development Center. They offer classes too, and they are free or very minimal in cost. They are also usually only one day events. There are classes in Finance, Business Plans, Advertising and Getting Started. You can also meet one on one with counselors who will help you with your business questions and needs. So think about how much time you have, and if you feel you need in depth information to succeed or know the basics in business and just want a little more help. Having the classes, even just the SBDC ones, will also help you secure a loan and funding in the future. Good luck! ;o)
